The ethos at the heart of the Sioris brand is producing effective products with minimal ingredients, all of which are sourced as ethically as humanly possible. This is very much in keeping with what a lot of us recognise as one of the largest consumer trends of the past year or so, within skincare certainly. That is, people are vastly more interested in knowing what the ingredients are, where they come from and the impact the use of that product has on the environment. For example, Sioris emphasises the importance of respecting seasonal harvests in order to safeguard against land depletion, but this also ensures the ingredients are at their most effective when added to formulations. As such, some ingredients will vary in the formulas from one season to another! Consequently Sioris products are exceptionally effective and high quality, but also assuage customer’s desire for ethically sourced formulations. This two prong approach by Sioris is a major contributing factor as to why they’re one of the fastest growing K-Beauty brands of the past two years!
Product Summary
I was particularly interested in trying this product because I felt my skin was becoming progressively more sensitised to the cleansers I was using. Although all my cleansers are for sensitive skin, of course, my skin had to be SUPER sassy and decide that even those weren’t good enough! Furthermore, due to the lock down I found myself rarely wearing makeup and using a cleansing oil felt a little ‘much’ to be using in the evenings.
This product came highly recommended, and thus out I ventured to purchased one myself. To use the product, you dispense some into your hands and apply to an already wet face. The consistency when added to water becomes and extremely light, milky texture, which is no surprise given its name.

What I enjoyed the most when using this product was how gentle it was on my skin. It truly feels like the most luxurious cleanser I’ve ever tried, and certainly the least stripping. After using, my skin feels incredibly soft and hydrated. Furthermore, there was absolutely no irritation during use or afterwards. One concern I had was that it would leave a slight film. This had been my experience with milk cleansers previous to this purchase, and I was reluctant to encounter that again. However, it washed off beautifully, leaving behind no film, just very bouncy and happy skin. In the morning, I then went straight in with my toner, while in the evening I followed this up with my water based cleanser.
Ingredients wise, the formulation is very sound, with nothing that would indicate it being particularly sensitising. As I mentioned previously, Sioris really gives priority to sourcing natural ingredients which is very much reflected in their ingredients list.
The only negative I would have about this product is that I’m not convinced it would hold up well against heavy makeup application. My instinct is that if you’re going to use this product, you’ll probably need a slightly thicker, hardier oil cleanser to ensure every scrap of makeup is dissolved. It worked great for getting rid of the layer of SPF I wear daily, and in the morning it was a fantastic single cleanser, but for anything more, you’re going to need a more robust oil!
Overall, I’ve really fallen in love with this cleanser. For sensitive skin people in particular, of those who just want to really nourish and protect your skin, I would recommend this whole heartedly!
